The ShadowCons of Thought
Thought is sensible through its absence;
so is its meaning, through a paradox.
There is no active monopole;
thought contains its opposite: a dipole,
the sneaky-creepy thought.
so is its meaning, through a paradox.
There is no active monopole;
thought contains its opposite: a dipole,
the sneaky-creepy thought.
Thought refuses to see it, let alone give it up.
Truth is plain, but painful to accept.
We are falsely sure, and truth, unsure, we hide.
Fear, pain, vanity, guilt, and confusion—
the shadowcons of the self we sustain.
"Repent not," cries the semi-conscious dogman,
hidden beneath layers of conditioning.
Being afraid, and becoming afraid of itself,
cries the cancer of thought and its seeker:
thought, the adherent shadowcon.
Enigmatic, though the truth therein,
thought persists, resists, refuses to see the truth.
Behold the bamboozled brain.
Thought does not let go of its hold and drain.
Let there be light!
