Within and Without

"I am That; I am That"

I am in and out in a rock and roll,

I am this and that, in hither and tither;
I am life and death in a go and go;
I am the waxing and waning moon;

I am violent power in silent strength,
I am spitting fire in mighty ways,
I am the heat and warmth of a lovely day;
I am the rising and the setting sun.

I am the night and day of everyday,
I am cold and heat of the changing times;
I am the blossoming flower of the spring-time day,
I am the time-bound seasons.

I am bright and dim, near and far,
I am swift and slow, high and low;
I am coloured and a weathered globe,
I am the wandering stars.

I am this and that, hither and thither,
I am wind and water, air and river,
I am North and South, East and West,
I am the Earth and Sky and Space.

I am taste and smell, vision and hearing,
I am life and death in a flowing flow,
I am breath and pulse and the beating heart;
I am the Living Being.

I am boon and bane, young and old,
I am gross and subtle, heavy and slight,
I am sound and silence, dark and light,
I am He, I am She, I am That.

I am weak and strong, good and bad;
I am winter and summer, autumn and spring;
I am lust and lustre, dream and real,
I am Women and Man, Child and God,
I am That, I am That.
